Quisiera poner aquí todas las cosas bellas que ví y olí en el LA Artisan Fragance Salon de Santa Mónica. Si bien la experiencia es intransferible, creo que estas imágenes son bastante elocuentes sobre la variedad de estilos y conceptos presentados allí.

Pero más allá de las diferencias, cabe señalar que lo que los une es la forma de trabajo artesanal y el empleo predominante de materias primas naturales. Incluso en alguna de las instalaciones verán exhibido el logo USDA ORGANIC, el que certifica que esos productos fueron hechos con ingredientes orgánicos, lo cual es avanzar un paso más.

En cuanto al aspecto olfativo, los matices e intensidades tienen más cuerpo y definición que las marcas industriales y de distribución masiva. Y una característica destacable es la búsqueda de originalidad, nadie busca parecerse a tal o cual perfume/marca/perfumista. Es cierto, en una obra de arte podemos detectar técnicas y rastrear influencias de otros artistas, pero la obra en conjunto es la que habla del objetivo y talento del autor.

Por todo eso afirmo: he encontrado bellas obras de arte y talentosos artistas.

LA Artisan Fragrance Salon – Olfactory artworks

I would like to put in this post all the beautiful things I saw and smelled at the LA Artisan Fragrance Salon in Santa Monica. The experience is untransferable, but I think these images are quite eloquent enough about the variety of styles and concepts which were presented there.

Anyway, beyond the differences, it should be noted that all the exhibitors were united by the artisan work and the predominant use of natural raw materials. Some of the installations even displayed the USDA ORGANIC logo, which certifies that the products were made with organic ingredients, which is a further step forward.

With regards to the olfactory dimension, the nuances and intensities have more body and definition that industrial and massive distribution brands. And a notable feature of these creations is the search for originality, no one wants to be like a particular perfume / brand / perfumer. True, in a piece of art we can detect techniques and we can detect influences of other artists, but the whole work tells about the goal and talent of its author.

For all that I say: I’ve found beautiful pieces of art and talented artists.
