Oliver & Co. Vetiverus – Terciopelo otoñal

El tiempo frío lentamente se está poniendo cómodo en el hemisferio sur. Los días son más cortos y la luz del sol hace pinta destellos dorados en los objetos y los árboles. Instintivamente abandono mis florales y cítricos frescos a favor de fragancias más cálidas que me hacen sentir arropada.

 Vetiverus huele más como una presencia humana que como un perfume. Esto puede sonar un poco perturbador al principio -¡hey! ¿quién anda ahí?-  pero luego de unos momentos parece fundirse con mi piel.

Naranja dulce y clavo de olor logran una salida vivaz que a muchos les recordará las celebraciones navideñas en el hemisferio norte. Estas notas alegres anuncian un corazón construido alrededor del osmanto, que exhibe exquisitamente las diferentes facetas de la flor (frutados matices de damasco, cuero).  Esta etapa es especialmente hermosa y delicadamente texturada.   Cistus y  estoraque suman su dulzor resinoso dotando a la mezcla de un reconfortante carácter balsámico.  El sillage puede ser discreto  (Vetiverus se comporta como un parfum de peau) pero la longevidad es excelente.

Encuentro promisorio, Vetiverus es el equivalente olfativo de un rendezvous sobre una mullida alfombra de piel (sintética para mí, por favor) junto a la chimenea. Íntimo, erótico, casi táctil, puede ser la compañía perfecta para una fría noche de otoño.

Oliver & Co. Vetiverus – Autumnal velvet

Cold  weather is slowly making itself comfortable in the Southern Hemisphere.  Days are shorter and sunlight paints a golden gleam over objects and trees. I instinctively ditch my florals and fresh citrus in favor of warmer fragrances that make me feel cocooned. 

 Vetiverus smells more like a human presence than like a perfume. That may sound a bit disturbing at first -hey! who’s there?-  but after a few moments it melds into my skin.

Sweet orange and cloves make for a vivacious opening that will reminisce some of Christmas celebrations in the Northern Hemisphere. These joyful notes herald a heart built around osmanthus, which exquisitely showcases the different facets of the flower (fruity hints of apricot, leather). This stage is especially beautiful and delicately textured. Cistus and styrax add their resiny sweetness to the blend, infusing it with a soothing balsamic character.  Sillage may be discreet (Vetiverus behaves like a parfum de peau) but the longevity is excellent.

A promising encounter, Vetiverus is the olfactory equivalent to a rendesvouz by the fireplace on a plush fur rug (synthetic for me, please). Intimate, erotic, almost tactile, it can be the perfect company on a cold Autumn night
