Son contadas las ocasiones en que me quedo sin palabras, pero se escapan cuando me enfrento con la belleza masculina de Jubilation XXV. Este perfume y su contraparte femenina – Jubilation 25– fueron creados en 2007 para la celebración del vigésimo quinto aniversario de la casa Amouage.
Una fragancia rica y compleja, Jubilation XXV abre con una impresión frutada y licorosa a la vez que mantiene su corazón de maderas preciosas envuelto en múltiples capas de miel, especias e incienso. Este lento caer de velos ejerce su fascinación hasta el final, donde se afirman el patchouli, el cedro y el oud.
El incienso omaní, sello de Amouage, está aquí magistralmente trabajado por Bertrand Duchaufour (con dirección creativa de Christopher Chong), resultando en una composición más opulenta que la mayoría de sus creaciones y (ligeramente) más austera que otros Amouage.
El equilibrio entre la dulzura de las frutas y la miel, la sequedad del incienso y el amargor medicinal del oud es exquisito. Profundo, suave y envolvente, mantiene una cualidad aterciopelada a lo largo de su evolución. Amouage no escatima en calidad y eso es evidente, incluso para los legos en la materia.
Jubilation XXV es opulento pero muy fácil de llevar. Conmovedoramente bello en un hombre, puede perfectamente ser usado por una mujer que no se ate a convenciones. Jubilation está posicionado firmemente en mi top 5 masculino desde el momento en que lo probé por primera vez.

Amouage Jubilation XXV Man – A natural-born seducer
There are not many times when words fail me, but I find myself at a loss for words before the masculine beauty of Jubilation XXV. This fragrance and its feminine counterpart –Jubilation 25– were created in 2007 to celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of the house of Amouage.
A rich and complex fragrance, Jubilation XXV opens with a fruity and boozy impression while guarding its heart of precious woods wrapped in multiple layers of honey, spice and incense. This slow unveiling keeps me fascinated until the very end, when the patchouli, cedarwood and oud affirm themselves.
The Omani frankincense –Amouage‘s hallmark- is here masterfully blended by Bertrand Duchaufour (under Christopher Chong’s creative direction), resulting in a composition more opulent than most of his creations and (slightly) more austere than most Amouages.
The balance between the sweetness of fruits and honey, the dryness of incense and the medicinal bitterness of oud is exquisite. Deep, smooth and enveloping, it maintains a velvety quality throughout its evolution. Amouage is never stingy in its use of excellent raw materials and its high quality is evident even to non-conoisseurs.
Jubilation XXV is opulent but eminently wearable. Heartbreakingly beautiful on a man, it can be easily worn by a woman who defies convention. Jubilation occupies a place of honor in my masculine top 5 since the day I first smelled it.

Jubilation XXV es delicioso. El dulzor de la miel y frutas está perfectamente equilibrado por las maderas y especias. Ya le habíamos dado un lugar en nuestro ”top 10” de perfumes masculinos, pero definitivamente está en mi ”top 5” personal. Vale la pena ser probado.
