El otoño casi está entre nosotros en el Hemisferio Sur y, aunque algunos días aún son cálidos, la luz del sol ya tiene menor intensidad. En la paleta de la Naturaleza predominan pinceladas de naranja, ocre y rojo.
Se nos antojan perfumes más cálidos, que evocan las tonalidades doradas de la estación con notas de ámbar, cuero, madera y especias.

Hermes Hermessence Vetiver Tonka Terroso, amargo y dulce a la vez, brinda la sensación de un sweater Shetland pero tejido con la transparencia característica que maneja Ellena. Vetiver, avellanas tostadas y tonka se unen en este juego de opuestos.
Fendi Theorema Inexplicablemente discontinuado, es tan reconfortante como una manta de doble cashmere. Notas especiadas de nuez moscada, pimienta y canela se ven endulzadas con naranja y flores. La base es una mezcla deliciosa y suave de sándalo, cistus y benjuí. Vale la pena rastrearlo.
Grossmith Hasu No Hana Hasu No Hana, creado en 1888, ha sido recientemente resucitado por la casa Grossmith. Nos hace acordar, sin desmedro de su elegancia o atractivo, a los perfumes que llevaban las más chic de nuestras tías abuelas. Oscuro y radiante a la vez, este chipre oriental es profundo y sensual. Nuestro favorito de la línea.
Eau d’Italie Bois d’Ombrie La quintaesencia de la masculinidad. Cognac, amarga zanahoria silvestre, cuero, tabaco y patchouli conjuran la humedad de los bosques de Umbria. De lo mejor de Duchaufour.
Oliver & Co. Vetiverus El promisorio Oliver Valverde nos sorprende otra vez. Este perfume, erótico y perturbador, se siente casi como una presencia humana. Luego de unos momentos, deviene en aterciopeladas caricias de cistus, naranja y osmanto sobre un persistente colchón de clavo de olor y almizcle.
Chanel Les Exclusifs Bois des Iles La salida aldehídica característica de Chanel añade sofisticación a esta mezcla de rosa, jazmín, ylang ylang y sándalo. Una suave nota de pan de jengibre la torna aún más deliciosa.
Amouage Jubilation XXV Uno de nuestros perfumes masculinos preferidos, es especiado, frutado, amaderado y poseedor de una destacada nota de incienso plateado. Increíblemente seductor. Nos casaríamos con él si pudiéramos.
Patou Sublime Azahar, jazmín, ámbar y cremoso sándalo dan por resultado una fragancia dorada y radiante. Es elegante, femenino y sensual a un tiempo. Damos preferencia a las botellas que tengan una cierta antigüedad.
Annick Goutal Grand Amour Jacinto, madreselva, mirra, vainilla y cantidades de ámbar se combinan en esta resplandeciente fragancia que dice evocar la pasión serena que Annick Goutal sentía por su marido. Nos hace pensar en una versión menos compleja pero más dorada de Chamade.
Guerlain Mitsouko Notas especiadas y de durazno sobre un colchón de musgo de roble. Este icónico chipre está más o menos en forma aún después de varias reformulaciones. Era uno de los favoritos de Charles Chaplin. La concentración parfum es nuestra preferida.

Getting ready for Fall – Our “top 10”
Autumn is almost among us in the Southern Hemisphereand even though some days are still warm, sunlight is already less intense. In Nature’s palette, brushstrokes of orange, ochre and red become dominant.
We crave warmer fragrances that evoke the golden hues of the season with amber, leather, wood and spice notes.
Our 10 favorites for the season:
Hermes Hermessence Vetiver Tonka Earthy and bittersweet this has the feel of a Shetland sweater but woven with Ellena‘s characteristic transparence. Vetiver, roasted hazelnuts and tonka play together in this game of opposites.
Fendi Theorema Unexplainably discontinued, this is as comforting as a double cashmere blanket. Spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper are sweetened with orange and flowers. The base is a delectable smooth blend of sandalwood, labdanum and benzoin. It is worth searching for.
Grossmith Hasu No Hana Hasu No Hana, created in 1888, was recently revived by the House of Grossmith. It reminds us, without losing elegance or attractiveness, of the fragrances our chic great aunts wore. Dark and radiant at the same time, this oriental chypre is deep and sensual. Our favorite from the line.
Eau d’Italie Bois d’Ombrie The epitome of masculinity. Cognac, bitter wild carrot, leather, tobacco and patchouli conjure the dampness of the Umbrian forests. Duchaufour at his best.
Oliver & Co. Vetiverus The promising Oliver Valverde surprises us again. This fragrance, disturbing and erotic, feels almost like a human presence. After a few moments, it morphs into velvety caresses of cistus, orange and osmanthus on a lingering base of cloves and musk.
Chanel Les Exclusifs Bois des Iles The characteristic Chanel aldehydic opening adds sophistication to this blend of ylang ylang and sandalwood. A soft gingerbread note renders it even more delicious.
Amouage Jubilation XXV One of our favorite masculine fragrances, this is spicy, fruity, woody and incensey at the same time. Incredibly seductive. We would marry it if we could.
Patou Sublime Orange blossom, jasmine, amber and creamy sandalwood give as a result a radiant and golden fragrance. Ladylike and sensual at the same time. We prefer slightly older bottles.
Annick Goutal Grand Amour Hyacinth, honeysuckle, myrrh, vanilla and loads of amber mingle in this glowing fragrance, said to evoke the serene passion Annick Goutal felt for her husband. It makes us think of a less complex but more golden version of Chamade.
Guerlain Mitsouko Peachy and spicy notes on an oakmoss bed. This iconic chypre is still in decent shape after reformulation. It was a favorite of Charles Chaplin and can be perfectly worn by men. We like the parfum concentration best.
